Ausangate Trekking 5D/4N


Day 1: Cusco - Ocongate - Upis (L) D)

Pick up from your hotel 5: 30 am and travel for approximately 5 hours to the town of Tinqui, passing through picturesque villages along the river valley Huatanay and beautiful areas of cultivated land, then continue our journey for 30 minutes until Upis (4140m), where we camp and facing the majestic Ausangate. Observe high Andean customs of the people in this area and enjoy the presence of large amounts of alpacas.

Day 2: Upis - Laguna Pucacocha (B) (L) (D)

After breakfast, very early, remount Arapa step (4700m) and then descend to the lagoons Pucacocha known by the names of Pucacocha Jatun, Viracocha and Huchuy Pucacocha, where we see great views and we also see different species of Andean birds, camp on the shore of the lagoon. (4575m).

Day 3: Pucacocha Lagoons - Step Palomani Pass - Chilcapinaya (B) (L) (D)

This day we will see the deglaciation of Mount Ausangate. Ascend to Alcatani pass (4650m) and continue the journey down to the Ausangate Cocha lagoon, and then climb to the pass Palomani (5050m) where we'll see particularly beautiful views, then descend to Chilcapinaya, where we camp.

Day 4: Chilcapinaya - Jampa Valley - Pachaspata (B) (L) (D)

Our route continues along the Jampa Valley where we see tipycal Andean people from the region and alpacas, sheep, llamas, alpacas, ascend to our last pass (4600m), to observe the beautiful lagoon Ticllacocha, the pampas of Pachaspata to camp on theshore of the lagoon Qomercocha.

Day 5: Laguna Qomerqocha - Pacchanta - Tinqui - Cusco (B) (L)

Accompanied by magnificent high Andean landscapes descend to the village of Pachanta Have the option to visit the hot springs of Pacchanta . After a brief tour through typical Andean landscape we reach Tinqui where we embark for our return to Cusco by private bus.
